“Is Self-Sabotage Holding You Back?”

You may have heard that the first step in overcoming a self- destructive behavior is recognizing it in the first place.

If you're like many people, the second step is to announce how you're going to overcome it. (Yes, by definition that means admitting the problem to someone else, as well as stating how you plan to overcome it!)

And the third step is to do what you say you're going to do.

Well, if you're not satisfied with your progress in a particular area of your life, let TODAY be the day you finally ask yourself:

"What am I doing, over and over, that is holding me back from achieving my goals?"

You see, you might find that there is one core self- destructive behavior that is the ultimate cause of your lack of progress. And if you can just stop doing this one thing, you will accomplish the success you desire.

Don't necessarily expect it to be easy of course. It has probably become so habitual that it will take all the mental strength you can muster to stop doing it!

That's why privately (or publicly!) announcing what the bad behavior is, and how you plan to overcome it, can be so helpful. The prospect of being held accountable and embarrassed about not fulfilling your promises can be a powerful motivator!

So... what is the self-destructive behavior limiting your success? Perhaps by asking yourself what it is, admitting it, and announcing how you intend to overcome it, you will be on your way to stopping further self-sabotage!

“Enjoy Those Precious Moments”

I recently spent the day at home with my daughter. She was on the mend after a bout of chicken pox.

Apart from having a few remaining spots, all indications were that she was back to her happy, energetic, healthy self.

So we went to the local shops together - I walked alongside her while she rode her bike. I made her a special lunch (a roll, fresh blueberry yoghurt and a Fuji apple). She produced three paintings (where the recurring theme was... slugs!). And we walked to the playground.

All in all, it was a great day for both of us. We didn't do anything "exciting", yet it was a day I will always remember. Simply because it was full of precious moments.

How about you? Is it time you took a break from all the "busy-ness" and enjoyed some precious moments with the people you love?

“How To Avoid The Scams and Find The Right Work At Home Job, Business or Business Opportunity For You”

I don't know about you, but I'm tired of all the B.S. "work at home income opportunities" being touted on the Internet.

You know the kind - where you buy some turn-key "business in a box" that supposedly earns you millions while you sip cocktails at the beach!

On the other hand, I'm also tired of all the scare mongers who claim that it's impossible to make any kind of living working at a home.

How about a reality check?

1. You are NOT likely to make millions of dollars with any kind of "get rich quick" scheme. (It's either illegal or it doesn't work.)

2. You ARE likely to make a good income - maybe even a fortune - in a legitimate home based job or business.

What's a "legitimate home based job or business"?

“Sleepless in... Just About Everywhere”

According to a study by Australian health insurer MBF, 51% of people say they don't get enough sleep.

MBF found that most Australians get just under 7 hours sleep a night. Those aged 18-24 get an average of 7.2 hours while 35 to 44 year olds tend to get the least sleep, averaging 6.5 hours.

Meanwhile, sleep researchers say that on average:

  • Newborn babies need around 16 hours of sleep per day;
  • Teenagers need around 10 hours per day; and
  • Adults need 7-8 hours per day.

Among other things, sleep deprivation can lead to poor cognitive function, short term memory problems, irritability, decreased energy levels and reduced libido. It can also manifest as attention deficit disorder (ADD).

So... should you be going to bed earlier tonight?
