4 Tips To Lift Morale and Boost Results
Over the last two weeks I’ve shared the story of the new CTO who went from thinking his staff were “lazy and incompetent” to discovering that - by making a few changes himself - they were actually quite talented and effective.
The CTO did a raft of “obvious” things that the previous management never thought to do… yet made all the difference.
Like providing his employees with the tools to do their jobs.
And treating them as individuals.
But he also did some less obvious things that lifted morale even further, created exceptional loyalty, made for a much more enjoyable workplace, and generated even greater productivity and results.
None of them cost money.
None of them involved “team bonding sessions”.
All of them DIRECTLY benefited the company.
And, chances are, all of them are things YOU can implement (in some shape or form) in your workplace.
Here are four of them:
1. The CTO implemented the ideas the team had for improving their processes and procedures.
2. He posted positive customer feedback on the walls of the office so the team could see and appreciate the positive impact their work had on the company’s customers.
3. He asked each team member to come up with a fun project they could work on that would help the business.
4. He held regular team brainstorming sessions where the team would JOINTLY work out ways for making each INDIVIDUAL team member more effective and productive.
These were “little” - yet powerful - initiatives that empowered the staff AND improved their results tremendously.
Now imagine implementing these - or variations of these - steps in YOUR workplace!
In fact, all these initiatives emanate from a highly effective approach to managing people that I lay out in the How To Manage People System. (Which, in case you’re wondering, the CTO has read, absorbed and continues to apply to this day.)
I’m convinced that the System will help anyone who runs their own
business or manages staff in any capacity. Click here to discover
how it will help you to motivate and manage your employees.
