“Some People ARE Luckier Than Others (Here's Why...)”
Guess what? Good fortune DOES seem to smile more often on some people.
That's the finding of Professor Richard Wiseman of the University
of Hertfordshire in the United Kingdom. Professor Wisemen spent 10
years studying 1,000 people who saw themselves as either very
lucky or unlucky.
But here's the more powerful finding: you can change your luck.
Yes, you can become luckier in life.
According to Professor Wiseman there are four (4) key reasons why
some people are luckier than others:
1. Lucky people are generally more relaxed and therefore tend to
notice more around them. Unlucky people tend to be anxious and
narrowly focused and therefore tend to miss things. Consequently,
not only are lucky people able to see and respond to positive
opportunities, but they're also able to see and take steps to
avoid dangerous situations, moreso than those who are unlucky.
2. Lucky people tend to smile more and use open gestures. As a
result, they tend to not only attract more people into their
lives, but also inspire others to be positive. Because lucky people
make more positive connections with more pepole, they also attract
more opportunities - whether in their careers, business or
personal lives.
3. Lucky people are more intuitive... and their intuition is
generally right. Rather than spending too much time trying to
assess information, they trust their gut.
4. Lucky people believe they will succeed. Because of this belief they persevere in the face of obstacles. Unlucky people are easily deterred and tend to give up.
So how can you change your luck for the better?
Take steps to become more relaxed, smile more often, trust your gut, and never give up!

“How an Ordinary Manager Transformed a Struggling Business On The Verge Of Collapse Into a $40 Million Company”
Here’s a shocking, yet true, story...
At the start of last year, a good friend of mine took the job of Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at a small technology company.
The company was five years old, but hopelessly unprofitable.
It’s backers – a venture capital company – were growing impatient with the company’s abysmal performance and ordered the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to appoint someone who could commercialize the company’s technology – so they would finally have a product to sell.
Otherwise, the venture capital company would no longer fund the business.
My friend was excited about the job. He was a bit of a risk taker, and despite the pressure, looked forward to helping the company bring its product to market and build it into a profitable business.
But there was one problem.
A big problem.
The staff, the CEO warned him, were “incompetent and lazy.”
In fact, one of the reasons the CTO was being hired was to get rid of the “dead wood.”
“Frankly,” the CEO told my friend, “you’ll probably have to fire the lot of them.”

“How To Prepare For Change”
Corporate merger... a tragic loss... moving house... these are just some of the major professional and personal changes you may experience in life.
You'll likely cope with such changes better if you recognize and accept three distinct physical and emotional phases brought about by change:
1. The end of the old
Tip: take time to acknowledge and say goodbye to the old.
2. The transition (between the old and the new)
Tip: accept this "messy" time but don't let impatience cause you to rush things... which may cause an ever bigger mess and delay.
3. The beginning of the new
Tip: embrace the new and focus on the positives.

“The World's Worst Pregnancy?”
Imagine giving birth to a seven-year old child.
Well, that's pretty much what it's like for moms who also happen to be... stumpy-tailed lizards!
Not only that, but this poor Australian-based lizard doesn't
even expand as her baby grows inside. During the final stages of
gestations, the growing infant virtually crushes the mother's
lungs and digestive tract leaving her virtually unable to move
and vulnerable to predators.
It sure ain't easy being a stumpy-tailed lizard mom.
